Technical Translator
Since my translation career began in 1998, I’ve always maintained close links to technical translation.
As a translator, I work on translating technical manuals for equipment manufactured abroad and on legal and financial documents submitted to public tenders.
For eight years, I was the sole director of a limited company that is the exclusive representative in Spain of foreign companies that manufacture aeronautic equipment. I participated in the general management of the company and in writing its national and international corporate communications. I also worked on submitting bids for public tenders to supply aeronautic equipment.
An expert in translations on parachute systems and oxygen systems for use in parachuting, I also specialise in automatic activation devices and safety vests for parachutists.
My work included consecutive interpreting on training courses related to parachute rigging, safety vests and maintaining oxygen systems for use in parachuting.
I know the specific technical terminology for the different equipment and have also translated extensively on the subjects of electrical engineering, railways and telecommunications, among others.
